Dunnet Bay Distillers’ company mascot and pet, Mr Mackintosh, is doing his bit to help the Scottish SPCA.
A portrait of the loveable schnauzer features on a new artists’ edition label of the company’s award-winning Rock Rose Gin, with a portion of the profits going to Scotland’s animal welfare charity.
The Scottish SPCA will receive £5 from the sale of each bottle of the juniper-based drink.
The gin will launch this evening (November 4).
The Scottish SPCA’s director of fundraising and marketing, Anna Devine, said: “We’re honoured Rock Rose Gin has chosen to donate to us through its new artists’ edition gin.
“It’s wonderful to be teaming up with an animal-loving organisation that shares our values and believes in our mission.
“The donations from sales of this product will help our team to continue carrying out their life-saving work rescuing and looking after animals across Scotland. Such support is so important, given how challenging a year it has been.
“We hope this will be the start of a blossoming relationship between ourselves, Rock Rose Gin and, of course, Mr Mackintosh.”
Martin Murray, director of Dunnet Bay Distillers, said: “As animal lovers, we are delighted to be supporting the Scottish SPCA and its exceptional work.
“Mr Mackintosh is well known in the gin world and it’s great for him to feature on this bottle which will be a real collector’s edition.”
The new artists’ edition gin can be purchased from 7pm on Dunnet Bay Distillers’ website .
